HENNA TATTOO CARE INFORMATION What is a Henna tattoo? It is a brown stain of the skin activated by the Henna tree leaves from India that are ground up, sifted, mixed with water, sugar and eucalyptus and/or lavender oil. -The Henna paste will take 30-40 minutes to dry. During this time pay attention to the area and to not bend limb. Once dry, the paste will flake here and there, but that is NORMAL. Do not remove the paste just because a few little pieces fell off—it will still be beautiful, even in those areas. *Leave the paste on for a MINIMUM of 6 hours but all the way up to 24 hours. The longer the paste remains on the skin, it will secure a beautiful long lasting stain. 12 hours has proven to leave a beautiful stain, so sleep in your henna paste. -avoid showering before 6 hours having your henna paste applied. if during this time your henna paste gets wet, just gently and quickly pat the excess water off from the tattoo. It will not harm your henna. Removing the paste: There are many arguments on how to do this. For me I have found that it comes off best under running water scraping off the paste gently with a butter knife or spoon. Do this as quickly as possible. Henna paste is compost and will disintegrate completely in water. -Your tattoo will be orangish at first and will develop into brown or burgundy. The fullness of the henna stain will develop within 48 hours of the application of the tattoo. -keep your henna tattoo moisturized with Coconut oil.
